About the new CD FLOOD - May 21, 2010

Flood was partially funded by the late LeRoi Moore, saxophonist of the Dave Matthews Band, who was looking forward to releasing the record on his new label.  Label representative Ernie Perez flew in from LA to record the basic tracks with Melodrome at drummer Justin Guip's Garage in Clinton, NY.  Melodrome's first attempt to record "Flood" was made at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, where Justin is Levon Helm's right hand man and studio manager.  However, the decision was made to halt the sessions and to move operations over to Justin's house for 3 days, to set up in the garage garage and go for that "garage sound".  "Things really fell right into place at the garage", says Baier. "We brought in some gear from Levon's place and from my place (SubStation Studio in Housatonic, MA), turned the amps way up and started rocking.  This is where we wrote the tunes anyway and so it felt totally natural to record them there".  Additional organ and keyboard tracks were recorded by Abe Guthrie at Rising Son Studios in Washington, MA.  The songs where then mixed by bassist Jesko Stahl at his studio in NYC and brought to Pilot Studios in Monterey, MA where Will Schillinger (Ryan Adams, Beastie Boys, The Ramones...) finished the mixes and mastered the record.   Drummer Kali Baba McConnell (Arlo Guthrie) joined Melodrome in 2008.  He had been a Melodrome fan for years.  "In fact, I consider myself to have been stalking the band for 2 years before joining", says McConnell".  I am super excited to be in the band now!".  Since he did not drum on the record his nickname on the credits is: Kali "Maybenexttime" McConnell.  He did, however, sing back up on most of the tracks on 'Flood".

Robby and Jesko Suport The Aposoul - January 12, 2010

Jesko and Robby have been working on a project with The Aposoul
(Jackson Tynan Whalan) and his crew of teens. It is a conscious Hip Hop album called NOW and we are looking for your help funding this youth project. We need to raise $8,700 by March 31. But we are not asking for you to give us the money for free. Oh no! Please take a moment to look at www.kickstarter.com where the project is hosted. Read how you can get a signed copy of the cd, be part of the cd release party, get invited to the recording session and even out to breakfast! Your support is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.

Mastering the new Album - January 11, 2010

Our new one is being pumped up and hyped (co-mixed/mastered) by Will Schillinger. Apart from being a super nice guy with great ears, he is also the guy who worked with Bret and Jemaine from Flight Of The Conchords. We're not worthy... The album is going to Discmaster's this month. Look Out!!

We're back from the Tour... - October 31, 2007

Wow. What a wild ride it was.
4 dewds, one red minivan, a gps unit named shaniqua and 7000 miles. Did I mention gobs of fresh rock?
Thanks so much for all your support out on the road: Joe and Christine Fletcher for inviting us to play at the Monterey Music Summit, Justin Mather for offering his crib to us outside of Las Vegas, Eric Ernie, Tom and Laroy for setting up the recording session at Studio City Sound, Norm and Beth for putting us up in LA, Casey for sneaking us in the back door of the Monterey Aquarium, Justin for being a drunk fuck pretending to work for Monterey Peninsula (we love you anyway, haha). We especially want to thank Julie and Richard for lending us their van for the road and Jason for coming along for the ride, helping with driving and loading. Last but not least we would like to thank all the fans, new and old, that came out at unexpectd times to rock with us. We love you all!!
Robby, Jesko and Otto
